Lights, Camera, Action!

This project has been so rewarding.  We just wrapped up our final stop on the Peel Crime Stoppers Senior Care Live Tour. I am so proud of my team.  This truly unique campaign was developed from concept to completion by my production company KPI Media Group Inc. The goal was to engage, empower and educate seniors (55+) in the Peel Region with essential, tangible information to help address personal safety and well-being.

This #LIVE web series was created exclusively for seniors. The Facebook Live platform allowed us to connect directly with them, in real-time, while still adhering to Covid safety protocols. They were able to join in, ask questions, comment, and participate just like they’re there with us in person.  

The Mississauga Bus Group of Companies generously donated an EV bus which was used as a clever mobile touring studio.  The Peel Crime Stoppers’ Senior Care LIVE Tour made stops at several senior living facilities in Peel, streaming fully-produced 30-minute shows on the grounds of the residences. 

As well as providing important safety tips, the campaign celebrated resident milestones and included lifestyle segments aimed at seniors.  Each show featured fully produced video segments, easy-to-understand tip boards, and theme music.  Special guests from Peel Regional Police and Trillium Health Partners also joined us on site. Some of the topics covered included Cyber and Telephone Fraud, Fall Prevention, Outdoor Safety, Elder Abuse, Wallet and Purse safety, and more.

Seniors have faced a particularly challenging time, and the program provided a chance for them to stay connected. Social isolation and loneliness among older adults have had a significant impact on their well-being.  I wanted  to bring some fun and excitement to our most experienced members of the community, and let them know we care about them.

The Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre reports that Canadians lost a record amount of money in 2021 due to scams and fraud.
